1. Abundant Life Covenant Church
Mission Honduras! Members of the AL mission team present images from their recent mission trip, plus offer free live music/refreshments.

2. Canvas
Canvas has launched a new arts emphasis title 8X10 Focus. Their show this month is TBA, but ask more about 8X10 Focus.

3. The Creamery Arts Center
Arts is Monumental III is a K-12 student art exhibition sponsored by the Missouri Art Education Association. It debuts today and lasts through March 29.

4. DB Design Salon & Art Gallery
Check out the art of Debra Sutherland, as well as other original pottery by local greats.

5. Drury Pool Art Center Gallery
SGF native and Parkview alum Bob Linder has been a national award-winning photojournalist at the News-Leader for 37 years. His work from the past 4 decades will be on display.

6. The Evangel University Bellwether Gallery
Art TBA, but it is open.

7. Farmers Gastropub
Artist Bill Baunach will be sketching live, which works perfectly while you enjoy a burger and pint.

8. Fresh Gallery
FRESH ART is a juried guest show featuring the work of the general and juried members of the Best of Missouri Hands — a statewide nonprofit org that serves artisans in Missouri.

9. Good Girl Art Gallery
Στρατογραφια (Stratografia) by Todd Lowery and Life on the Hot Lunch Line by Lynley Farris are on display. The names alone make it enticing.

10. Hawthorn Galleries Inc.
Will be closed for March art walk, but will re-open in April with new exhibitions.

11. The History Museum for Springfield-Greene County
December features Sun, Sports and Summer Fun: A Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of SGF-Greene County Parks.

12. Kiss My Gas Scooters!
Art by Stephen Craig, John Payne, Brian Mooney and Amber Dougan highlight scooters, accessories and apparel.

13. MSU Brick City Gallery
Peep the installation of internationally renowned Dutch Typography designer Martin Jamoor.

14. MSU Center of International Programs
Come check out the beauty of the Country of Pakistan through the photographs by Omar Al Qabandi, a student from Kuwait.

15. MSU Student Exhibition Center
Department of Art and Design Photography Exhibition. This exhibit continues through March 23, but will be closed March 9-17 for Spring Break.

16. Obelisk Home at the Inspired Commerce Building
Check out Taking Flight, The Art of Stephanie Cramer. Imagine the moment right before something is complete. The snapshots are breathtaking.

17. OTC Fine Art Gallery at The Gillioz
Gretchen Miekley’s show, “I am more than…” Have you ever thought about the labels put on people?

18. Park Central Branch Library
The Postcard as an Art Form by Hannah Sheehan and Acrylic and Mixed Media Paintings and Poetry by Bill Shultz is on display from 7-9 p.m.

19. Randy Bacon Photography and Figment Art Gallery in the Monarch Art Factory
You’re invited to an opening art reception for Lane Simmons, Professor of Photography at Evangel University.

20. Revel Advertising at the Inspired Commerce Building
Kat Allie works with hot beeswax, damar resin and oil pigment. That’s worth a look, right?

21. RSVPaint
Carl Glasemeyer teaches a 2-hour BYOB painting class and his Escape works. Walk-ins to the class are welcome and cost $40 cash.

22. Springfield Hot Glass Studio
Check out all the furnace, torch and kiln work. Don’t know what that is? You’ll never forget it once you do.

23. Springfield Pottery
Andy Rogers: Natural Reflection is an exhibition of current work by Missouri ceramic artist Andy Rogers.

24. TAG Media — Houston Hands will paint a permanent piece inside TAGHQ during the March mag release party. Grab the new issue, talk to us here at TAG and pick up a half-price ticket to Rock ‘N Ribs ($5, proceeds to the Rotary children’s charities).

25. University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center
The music will be supplied by Seth Truett, and the art will be The Future is Now: Drawing on 21st Century Skills, a K-12 collaborative student-and-teacher art exhibit.

One of their favorites, Isaac Karner will be on hand along with live music and new arrivals from around the world.

Bright and Beautiful: An Experiment in Color features local 2D and 3D works by various artists.

A variety of artwork accentuates SBC’s season beer selections and the new display space.

29. Gillioz Theatre
Blending art with music, the Gillioz will feature local emerging artist Jamie Blaine, who will be painting live on the stage next to a host of local female bands perform. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Women’s History Month.
