The UnCivil War series is back this weekend, and so are some of the Ozarks’ top amateur fighters.
UnCivil War IV: Rising will feature 12 fights โ including 3 title fights โ with the area’s ‘Rising’ star MMA Fighters at the Howard Johnson Hotel (3333 S. Glenstone, formerly Clarion).
This weekend’s event will feature three championship title fights in the Flyweight Division (125 lbs.), Featherweight (145) and Lightweight (155).
The UCW Flyweight title fight features a rematch between Ray Allard of Cantrell’s MMA and Anthony Lupica of the Barry County Fight Club. These two last fought each other in October in Branson. The fight ended in controversy when Lupica was knocked unconcious and Allard struck Lupica on the ground knocking out his front teeth. Both of these fighters are top ranked flyweights in the region.
The UCW Featherweight Title fight features the current champ Shane Beck of Barry County Fight Club meeting Springfield Fight Club’s Chris Reed, who has 5 cage victories including a victory at the inaugural UnCivil War.
The UCW Lightweight Title fight features a high-profile matchup, with Christian ‘The Prince’ Camp of Cozzens Jiu-Jitsu vs. Springfield Fight Club’s Shawn Hembree. Camp has been making a stir with impressive victories over 4 tough opponents. Hembree is the more seasoned fighter.
