SGF standup veteran Merr (host of Laughing Stock and co-host of M.E.O. Radio) announced he will be recording his debut album,
Merr: Live From The Corner, in front of a live audience Thursday at Billiard’s Blue Room
(541 E St. Louis St.). Comedian Merr has spent the last eight years on local stages delivering (mostly off-color) punchlines on local stages. Soon you will be able to hear the balloon joke
(I hope) and others on demand. A $10 cover charge includes voucher for a copy of the album. Current Chicago comedian
(and former SGFer) Kenny DeForest will also be performing as well as local comics Matt Scheele and Tim Messersmith. Twenty-eight year comic John “The Cookie Man” Pinney is hosting the event, doors at 9:30 p.m.
