New Music: Sylabol7 & Vinyl Richy, “Land of Dreams” (NSFW)

A leaked track previews an upcoming album from SGF hip hop veterans Sylabol7 and Vinyl Richy. “Land of Dreams” quietly started circulating on Facebook over the weekend providing the first look at Put The Lotion In The Basket, the full-length set to drop in the spring. The song features Syl’s fierce-as-usual, stay-in-your-place stream of punchlines. Vinyl Richy’s instrumental drops a rock riff over a metronome of a drumbeat (and that’s a good thing). I’ve always been a fan of samples instead of hooks, and the timely bits of standup throughout are hilarious and well placed.
