How’s this for jaw-dropping productivity: By the time the ball drops to start 2012 SGF “musician that rhymes” J-None will likely have released at least three albums in the previous calendar year. Prince just read that and went back in the studio.* The full-length Adhittana is out and available and the None Money collaboration with producer/rapper e$Money is back underway. Up next, however, is the second album in the trio, and we now know a whole lot more about it.
According to J-None, aka Jason Nunn, the mixtape will be released under the title Reverie and will have 20 songs with production from Trak Masta Tom, e$Money, Columbia producer Heez On Fire, now-Minnesota-based Abstracked and Spacetones MC Tahmiipee. The plan is to go into the studio in Columbia with Heez On Fire during the last weekend of August to start laying down tracks. It’s too soon to know a release date yet, but we’ll pass on details as that picture becomes clearer.
*Prince probably didn’t just read that. But in case he did… um, hi. Purple Rain was sick.
