You would think a band such as SGF hip hop/rock fusion act LuciD, a band that just released an album a mere seven months ago, would coast on that collection of songs for a while as it builds a new set of songs and the funds to record them. This would be an incorrect thought in LuciD’s case. Guitarist Jake Bollinger tells us the band is already headed back into the recording studio to start work on its follow-up album to its EP T.R.U.T.H., this time a full-length record of at least 10 songs. The band will go into Red Room Studios in Benton, Arkansas starting October 7 to start laying down tracks with studio co-founders John LeCompt (Evanescence, We Are the Fallen, Machina) and Phil Taylor (Future Leaders of the World, Machina). Taylor is also set to do guest vocals on the song “Rise Up,” which, according to Bollinger, is planned as the album’s lead single. We await the fruits of recording’s labor.
