Two teams finish undefeated in the Courts Pro-Am League

The Courts Summer Pro-Am wrapped up Wednesday night and two teams clearly separated themselves from the field. On the women’s side, the Ballers finished the season undefeated, and Stamina Products did the same thing on the men’s side.

The Ballers featuring Missouri State’s Casey Garrison and Whitney Edie and a group from Missouri S&T, capped off an undefeated summer season with two wins Wednesday night.

“It’s actually pretty cool,” Garrison said. “I’ve never done that at the Courts. We had a good group of girls, a bunch of college girls, so it’s fun.”

In their first game of the night, the Ballers crushed a Sparks team featuring MSU’s Karley Buer 101-62. Garrison said that the undefeated season will give her some bragging rights.

“Every Thursday morning workout, we talk about who won, who lost, who’s record is what,” Garrison said.

On the men’s side, experience proved to be the deciding factor. The Stamina Products team that featured a lot of Missouri State grads throughout the season won twice Wednesday night to finish the Pro-Am a perfect 12-0.

Former Bears Spencer Laurie, Wade Knapp and Deven Mitchell (who currently plays pro ball in Romania) suited up for Stamina Products last night along with former College of the Ozarks star Heath Sitton.

In the 8:00 game, Stamina Products fell behind the team from Southwest Baptist 36-31 at halftime, but big dunks from Mitchell and Knapp propelled the team to a 71-58 win.
