A day after Missouri State’s men’s basketball team did not receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, many fans were left to wonder what Missouri State was to do to try to reclaim NCAA glory and status. Or, at least to get back on the committee’s radar.
MSU Athletic Director Kyle Moats was a guest on The High Road with Allen Vaughan and shared his thoughts on what MSU needs to do to get the Selection Committee’s attention, long range plans for the school and what the NIT means to the school.
Among the most interesting things he said included just how much it would cost to add football to the school’s athletic budget, and the resonating quote:
