Casey Garrison
With one of the most anticipated seasons in Missouri State Lady Bears history rapidly approaching, it’s always good to have the returning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year coming back.
That’s right, MSU junior forward and Bolivar native Casey Garrison won MVP honors by leading MSU in the big three categories, points per game (19.9), rebounds per game (7.3) and assists per game (5.1). He was named the preseason Valley MVP and the Lady Bears were the media’s pick to win the conference in 2010-11.
At media day, Garrison talked to TAGsgf.com about the pressure of being the MVP, the chances of a repeat performance and is it really time for this squad to take the MVC crown?
The Lady Bears open their exhibition season at 7 p.m. Monday against Rogers State. Don’t miss the rest of our video interview series, which will continue through the week, with both Bears and Lady Bears.
