Concertgasm: Beyond Reach and The Undergrass Boys at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

Kendrick 225x300 Concertgasm: Beyond Reach and The Undergrass Boys at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

John Kendrick of The Undergrass Boys

Last Friday night at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts was a very special one for local music, as one very popular act reunited (progressive bluegrass group The Undergrass Boys) and another group brought members of three such popular bands together to make something with a personality all its own (Beyond Reach). The whole event raised money for next year’s Ozarks Celebration Festival, a cause near and dear to the musicians’ hearts, and it was a big hit; according to festival coordinator Barb Jones there were between 400 and 500 people in attendance. There were two groups filming it all, too: A professional crew hired by The Undergrass Boys to document their reunion, presumably for some future release… and us. If you couldn’t be there to witness history scroll down a bit and catch the videos; we made sure to take plenty. Enjoy.
