Concertgasm: Murder By Death at The Outland Ballroom (NSFW)

We have a confession to make: In the hustle to even be able to get to last night’s Murder By Death/Samantha Crain/Ninja Gun/Golden Giant show at The Outland Ballroom Wednesday night we forgot our camera. The upside: We got to actually watch and enjoy a show for once, and it was a great show to get to enjoy without working in the middle of it. The downside: We don’t have photos and videos to show you. Of course, this being the 21st century there were people in the crowd with cell phone cameras and other devices to record video, one of them being jross1987, who dutifully recorded and posted a YouTube video of the last song from MBD’s encore, “Spring Break 1899.” It’s narrower than your typical YouTube vid, you’ll notice, which probably means it was filmed on an iPhone, but the audio is surprisingly clear. The vid includes a minute-and-a-half intro by the band about MudHouse that isn’t safe for work (don’t worry, it’s all positive), but it’s worth a watch to hear a great song led into by a nationally touring band that remembers and likes its experiences in SGF.
