Mike Kickham will leave Missouri State for the San Francisco Giants.
Missouri State left-handed pitcher Mike Kickham, has signed a deal with the San Francisco Giants and will report to Giants’ training and development facility in Scottsdale, Ariz. A sixth-round pick in June’s draft, Kickham reportedly reached a contract agreement worth $410,000, according to Baseball America.
Kickham, a Glendale graduate, was 4-9 with a 5.25 ERA in one season at Missouri State, and struck out 103 hitters.
Major League Baseball recommends a $150,000 maximum for picks after the fifth round.
