The Springfield restaurant business claims another casualty–in a way, at least. Rivals Casual Grille, located just south of what was Circuit City on South Glenstone Avenue, closed its doors July 1, but the owners left an interesting note on the door when doing so:
“We will be changing our concept in the next 4 to 6 months. Thank you to our customers and we hope to see you in the future.”
The good news here is there seems to be a new beginning to go with the ending. It’s unlikely we’ll see another sports bar in the same spot, but with the building’s unusual layout and incredible influx of natural lighting there is no denying it has potential. We look forward to news of its next incarnation, and when it comes we’ll pass it along to you.
