This week boastss two major releases with had-to-be massive marketing budgets which hold absolutely nothing in common. How to Train Your Dragon comes from the people who brought you Shrek and online commenters call it “cute”. Hot Tub Time Machine comes from the folks who brought you Pineapple Express and online commenters call it “crude”. But, both, look like smash hits waiting to happen. Enjoy the first with your kids (if you don’t have any, borrow somebody else’s) and the latter with some beers (Campbell 16 serves beer).

The animation of Dreamworks Dragon is stunning on a computer monitor. I can only imagine how breathtaking it can be in 3D. I’m just glad Hot Tub is only available in two dimensions.
