Berch travels to Memphis to finish recording debut

Berch 200x300 Berch travels to Memphis to finish recording debutYou only get to make your first album once, and for a young band such as local pop-rock group Berch that signals opportunity. After recording a handful of tracks at Monarch Recording Studio inside the Monarch Art Factory (home of Randy Bacon Photography Studio & Gallery, if that helps), the band saw and seized the opportunity to hit the road and record in a music Mecca: Memphis, Tennessee. The group is currently holed up inside The Grove Studio working on tracking for its songs “Robots,” “Sledgehammer,” “Speed of the Sun” and “Still In the Air.” Was it necessary to drive six-plus hours to record songs? Not likely. Does it enrich a place and time in the band’s life it can never have back? Better believe it. We await the finished results when they emerge.
