Last-minute buzz, anyone? Dang We’re On Fire headlining tonight’s Lindberg’s show, plus early Cropdusters set

Dang Were On Fire 250x187 Last minute buzz, anyone? Dang Were On Fire headlining tonights Lindbergs show, plus early Cropdusters setPardon if this seems typed a little fast, but the clock currently lists about an hour and a half until showtime at Lindberg’s. Such is the world of 11th-hour show changes, and tonight’s are monsters, from what we’re told. First, Cropdusters singer Jeb Venable tells us KOLR 10 will be doing a live broadcast from the Commercial Street venue this evening starting at 6 p.m. Venable says the station is working on a piece on the recent turnaround of C-Street and what businesses are thriving there. There’s just one catch: The station has to film during happy hour, and Lindberg’s doesn’t really put its best foot forward until well into the night. As a result, the bar will bring nighttime to a more manageable hour with The Cropdusters playing from 6 to 7 p.m.–for FREE. Add in the slew of drink specials (which continue after the show, switching to regular happy-hour offerings) and it should be a great start to the night.

Now to the night’s finish: Florida buzz band Dang We’re On Fire, recently featured by Channel One News, is passing through the city on tour and has been added to tonight’s Ghost Dance concert. Also on the bill is Oklahoma pop-rock group Theatre Breaks Loose. Think of this as another night to get acquainted with red-hot acts on the rise, much like All the Day Holiday‘s show at Nathan P. Murphy’s a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes it’s the last-minute plans that are the most exciting of all.
