The Hannah Wilkerson Watch — When rematches happen

wilkerson.21 The Hannah Wilkerson Watch — When rematches happen

This future Missouri State Lady Bear has a chance to become Missouri's all-time leading scorer.

When is Hannah Wilkerson scoring 37 points a letdown? When it’s comes from a rematch where she scored 45 points.

OK, so we’re kidding, but after getting a game with Purdy canceled because of weather, Wilkerson scorched Ash Grove for 37 points in Monday’s victory over the Pirates. The outburst brought the 5-foot-9 Miller senior to within 271 points of breaking Missouri’s career high school scoring record, held by Marshfield’s Melissa Grider.

That raises Wilkerson’s season scoring average to 35.9 per game, and at that rate, she only needs 7.5 games to catch Grider with approximately 14 games left in Miller’s regular season. Yes, she’s poised to smash the record, especially since the Cardinals are No. 13 in our RecSpecs 15 rankings.

Here is what the season breakdown looks like:
