OK, it’s Monday of Bass Pro Tournament of Champions week, which means the hype is really starting to build. As we look forward to Thursday’s first round, I figured I’d start a series of blog posts here, highlighting more T of C coverage.
• Of course, if you missed our Ultimate Tournament of Champions Guide, it’s a must-read. It’s considered an appetizer, but it satisfies like a full meal. Click the link above, if you haven’t already. It gives you everything you need to know about the out-of-town teams, including bios on the studs, plus Web links and videos.
• The News-Leader’s Straight Flush Michael Stacy rolls out a T of C feature on a team from Milton, Ga., a squad that features three of the nation’s top 30(!) juniors. It’s a stacked team, no doubt.
• A Tag favorite, KSPR’s Mike Scott, had a sit-down with T of C director and Springfield Public Schools Athletic Director Mark Fisher. Click here for the entire conversation.
• One news bit, United Faith Christian Academy coach Shawn Wiseman told me last night that Mizzou recruit Kadeem Green suffered a leg injury during a practice Thursday and will be out the remainder of the tournament.
• You can also find many things T of C by visiting BassProTofC.com.
• You’ll need to check out our Twitter feed once it becomes T of C time. And if you’re looking for all things Tournament of Champions and Twitter, use the hash tag #TofC. Good looking out to KSPR’s Brad Belote on leading that charge.
• If you’re looking for tickets, call the Missouri State box office at (417)836-7678 or (800)476-7849. Ticket prices are $12 for a reserved seat, $10 for general admission and $7 for students.
• Also, the Tag staffers are going to have a booth at the Tournament of Champions, so be sure to stop by and say hello. Yes, it’s the best time of the year.
