After missing the William Jewell Tournament with a broken left wrist, Glendale High School sophomore Cameron Johnson has been cleared to play in Friday’s battle at Hillcrest, Glendale coach Sean Williamson said to TagSGFer Brett Johnston.
Johnson, a 6-foot-3 sophomore โ one of the best, young players in the city โ broke his non-shooting wrist during Glendale’s 84-37 victory at School of the Osage on Dec. 22. Without him, the Falcons (7-4), finished in fourth place in their bracket of the William Jewell Tournament, going 1-2.
In his eight games played this season, Johnson is averaging 14.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. The Ozark Conference showdown between Glendale and Hillcrest (8-2, 2-0 OC) will begin with the 6 p.m. JV game, followed by the varsity game.
