Today, we look at an always popular meal, but that craving seems to grow around the turn-of-the calendar and has become the New Year’s Eve standard. The last decade has seen an outburst of sushi options in SGF and the growth in quality, variety and creativity has been delicious to witness. So, peep our list and set your Dec. 31 reservations soon – all of these restaurants fill up quick.
Our vote was a pretty tight race, with a Umi and Haruno leading the boat race for the top two spots, going one and two respectively. Each place on the list offers something a little different for atmosphere – as well as some pretty tasty grub, but Umi and Haruno create individual rolls which create unavoidable cravings (quick reference: Umi – “Da“ Roll, Hard Rock; Haruno – Jurassic Park, O My God). Umi narrowly took the vote for TAG’s favorite sushi spot by a point over Haruno, grabbing a pair of first-place votes.
