Avatar opened. Most skeptics say it will bomb in the box. Animation looks pretty sweet in the trailers, but I can’t say that I’m too interested. What about the rest of SGF? The Springvegas favorite (most buzz) this weekend has to be Avatar with my sleeper being Zombieland at the Palace. It might not be at the second-run theater much longer, so watch it soon. A must-see on the big screen.
Your weekend lock (need to watch) is The Road at the Moxie. Early impressions are that the movie – based on the Pulitzer-winning novel by Cormac McCarthy (author of No Country for Old Men) – is a hit, and Scott is very, VERY excited.
