The Dude Abides: Cornbelt Chorus playing a Big Lebowski theme party Friday night (Links NSFW)

Theme parties rock, and perhaps none more than those centered around a good movie. Animal House-style toga party? Great; just remember to wear boxers. Caddyshack? Sure, but leave the clubs at home, there, Ty Webb. To Wong Foo all-out dragfest? Hey, do it if it’s yours to do; this guy looks bad in rouge. Back on-topic: Any movie-themed party has the potential for a good time, but most such bashes need something or someone there to rep for the soundtrack. It’s an important part of most movies these days, after all. Sunshine Lanes is throwing its own all-ages theme... [Read the full story]

Gelato Mio: A Foodie Review
3 September 2010 · Leave a Comment
The Gelato Mio bike takes downtown's greatest new frozen snack to the streets. Whether as a dessert destination or just to stop in and add a cheap treat to a night downtown, Gelato Mio is your spot. It turns out that gelato is ice cream’s older brother and has spent its whole life kicking the crap out of his fatter, younger sibling. Single scoops Wildberry and Cafe Caramel gelato. While in the Italian ice cream boutique... [Read the full story]

TAG 5: Mexican Food
30 August 2010 · 4 Comments
(TAG 5 is a top five list compiled by secret ballot, submitted by the four horsemen of TAG. An extremely complicated equation is used to calculate the polls. Most SGFers claim their Mexican food territory, so this week’s top five is to settle the score once and for all. While our winner... [Read the full story]
